Elder Mike Waters
Fulltime Pastor

Pastor Mike Waters has faithfully served as the lead pastor of our church since 2003. His journey of faith began in 1994 when he was converted through the ministry of the Holland Rescue Mission in Holland, Michigan. Following his transformation, he dedicated a decade of service as a chaplain at the mission, ministering to those in need.

Pastor Waters pursued theological training at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI, equipping him with a deep understanding of biblical doctrine and pastoral care. His passion for preaching, discipleship, and shepherding God’s people has been at the heart of his ministry.

He and his wife, Angeline, have been blessed with five children and a growing number of grandchildren. Together, they seek to glorify God through their family and ministry, encouraging others to grow in faith and walk closely with Christ.




Dan Detwiler

Elder Dan Detwiler
Bi-vocational Pastor

Dan Detwiler was born and raised on a dairy farm in Ohio, where he learned the values of hard work and perseverance. He became a Christian at the age of 18 and has been faithfully walking with the Lord ever since. Dan has been married to his wife, Mary, since 1981, and together they have been blessed with 11 children and many grandchildren. He joined the church in 2007 and has served as an elder since 2014. A full-time stone cutter by trade, Dan also enjoys studying Reformation church history, tackling home projects, and taking long hikes in God’s creation. His passion for faith, family, and service is evident in all that he does.

Mike Spickard has been a member and deacon of Heritage Reformed Baptist Church since the church was constituted in 2002.  He and his wife Penny live on a small farm in Akron, Ohio and have four grown children and an increasing number of grandchildren.



Michael Stauffer

Building Maintenance and Activities Oversight

Michael Stauffer was blessed to be raised in a loving, Christian home and was brought by grace to trust in Jesus Christ at a young age.  He joined Heritage RBC in 2011 as a member and began serving as a deacon in 2017.  Michael and his wife Ashley enjoy hiking, gardening, and fellowshipping with the brethren.



Rod Yoak

Treasurer

Rod Yoak was born and raised in the Akron, Ohio area and now lives in Hartville, Ohio.  He and his wife Donna have three married sons and ten grandchildren.  Rod became a member of Heritage Reformed Baptist Church in 2017 after the merger with Hilltop Bible Fellowship.  He began serving as deacon at Heritage in early 2019.  In their spare time,  Rod and his wife stay busy following the school and sports activities of their grandchildren, spending time with family, and bicycling.

Deacon Tony Cucolo

Tony Cucolo joined HRBC in 2021 and was ordained as a deacon in 2024. He has been happily married to his wife, Mary, since 2012, and together they have five children—two with Christ and three at home: Rahab, Melissa, and Nellie.

With a deep passion for faith and learning, Tony enjoys reading theology and military history. In his spare time, he also expresses his creativity through drawing and writing.

Deacon Greg Beacom

Deacon Greg Beacom has been happily married to his wife, Paula, for 27 years, and together they have two adult children. Originally from Wisconsin, Greg and Paula relocated to Hartville over nine years ago and have enjoyed making it their home.

When he’s not working, Greg finds joy in exploring Ohio’s many scenic hiking trails with Paula, embracing the beauty of nature and the outdoors.

Deacon Judah Stauffer
Judah Staufer has been a devoted Christian from a young age, faithfully serving his church community with a heart for stewardship. As a deacon, he oversees the church’s maintenance needs, ensuring the facilities remain a welcoming place for worship and fellowship. Outside of his church duties, Judah enjoys working around the farm, finding joy in the simplicity of hands-on labor and the beauty of God’s creation. His dedication to both his faith and his work reflects his deep commitment to serving others with humility and diligence.
